This is the Enemy!

I have used these World War II posters to illustrate other articles. This poster, in particular, was very disturbing … perhaps because our religious freedoms are being stomped on in the current political atmosphere. God has become a dirty word.
There is no prayer allowed in schools or at school sporting events.
Children can’t bring their favorite book to school if that ‘favorite book’ is the Bible.
A battle over Bible banners is unfolding at high school football games in north Georgia. For years, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., cheerleaders have held up a banner with a Bible verse and members of the football team would then run through it. But the practice has now been banned. Because one person complained! One person!
The U.S. Forest Service has banned the name of Jesus from decorations being assembled by children in Arizona for a blue spruce from the state that will become the Capitol Christmas Tree this year, and a legal firm is challenging the censorship. And aren’t you surprised they aren’t calling it a ‘Holiday Tree’?
"Banning Christmas from the Capitol Christmas tree is just absurd. Christian students shouldn't be discriminated against for expressing their religious beliefs," said Jonathan Scruggs, litigation staff counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund. "The First Amendment does not allow government officials to exclude schoolchildren's ornaments for the capitol's Christmas tree merely because they communicate a religious viewpoint."
The new Visitor’s Center in DC created a storm when no mention of God was made … as in “In God We Trust” – our national motto.
We are being pressured to say “Happy Holidays” rather than “Merry Christmas”! When did we take Christ out of Christmas?? Isn’t the birth of Jesus the reason we celebrate Christmas???
What’s wrong with this whole picture?
Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values … most of us still believe in some form of religion. It seems that our own government is stifling our freedoms … if we don’t fight back, we won’t have any of our freedoms guaranteed us by our Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I came across the most disturbing site while I was researching some information for this article. If you’re interested, I have eliminated the pictures but used some of their words. If you consider what is happening in this country now – consider the parallel.
The seven key structures in Nazism were: Government; Religion; Culture; Work; Education and youth; Terror; and Propaganda.
Look at our country today.
Government: is trying to get total control of everything, even to what shots you have to take (Swine Flu vaccine) – Nazis had absolute control of national and local government.
Religion: any mention of God, Bible, or Jesus is discouraged, even Christmas trees are called holiday trees – Hitler believed religion was a threat to Nazi control of people’s minds.
Culture: our cultural lines are blurring … where once we were the melting pot of the world, we now have lost our own separate and distinct culture – Hitler ordered the imposition of Nazi values on all aspects of German life.
Work: look at the still powerful unions – German Labour Front controlled worker’s lives from cradle to the grave.
Education and youth: look at the recent youtube videos of second graders singing adoration to Obama – in Nazi Germany; children were controlled both in and out of school to turn them into fanatical Nazis.
Terror: how many of us feel the Fed is eavesdropping on our Facebook conversations? … or our email accounts? – in Nazi Germany it was unsafe to do or say anything critical of the government.
Propaganda: who among us believes the main-stream media is not biased? – propaganda aimed to brainwash people into obeying the Nazis and idolizing Hitler.
The parallels are frightening. We’re only being fed one side … just like the Germans!
Proud Americans weep when they speak of what they feel is happening to our country. They are worried. They are scared. They are angry. They are outraged. Let’s consider what happens when we allow negatives into our lives … we become paralyzed. Instead of taking steps to fight for our religious freedom, we slink into oblivion … and then what happens? You will have no religious freedom. You will find yourself whispering ‘God’ because it’s not politically correct to use that word in public.
One person stopped the cheerleaders. One man filed suit because he is an atheist and didn’t want his daughter to say ‘under God’ in the pledge of allegiance. What about the millions of us who do believe? Who do want to say ‘under God’? Who do want prayer in schools?
Our freedom is priceless and we must never take it for granted – never again! Remember our pledge: “We won’t let another day pass without doing something for freedom. It is our fight … and our right."
